On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you for an exciting CSSD tournament involving young boys and girls in basketball and cheerleading events at the Ohio School for the Deaf, January 24-26, 2008. This is going to be a very special tournament with energetic and dedicated students from different schools and educational programs serving deaf students from Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin competing again each other.

This tournament brings together boys and girls in an athletic program that teaches many things – teaching boys and girls how to plan strategies that result in playing well, make new friends, renew old friendships, learning something about the State of Ohio and the Ohio School for the Deaf and to bring back home fond memories of the CSSD experience. The CSSD tournament is one significant educational program that provides for our students an opportunity to expand their horizons.

Let me say what a privilege it is to watch you all play in a sport that requires your upmost dedication and concentration. May the best team win!
